Denelle holds an undergraduate degree in Communications from Grand Valley State University and currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Eastern Michigan University. While pursuing her Master’s she was a Graduate Assistant collaborating with counseling faculty to help develop a course focused on counseling incarcerated and justice-involved individuals utilizing trauma-informed and socially responsive care.
Denelle’s theoretical orientation is grounded in Internal Family Systems, with a strong emphasis on self-compassion, self-efficacy, and helping individuals reconnect with their emotional experiences in meaningful and empowering ways. She is particularly interested in supporting people who struggle with over-intellectualizing their emotions, as well as those navigating trauma, substance abuse, and major life transitions.
Denelle strives to create a supportive, nonjudgmental space where clients can explore their experiences with curiosity, build greater emotional awareness, and develop confidence in their ability to heal and grow.
