TaMerra Thompson graduated cum laude from Spelman College with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology with a concentration in Mental Health. She is currently pursuing her Master of Arts in Clinical Psychology at the Michigan School of Psychology. Prior to beginning her graduate studies, TaMerra worked as a Behavioral Health Technician, where she supported clients experiencing treatment-resistant depression through Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) and Spravato (nasal esketamine) treatments.
TaMerra’s therapeutic approach is grounded in humanistic principles. She is passionate about creating a safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental environment where clients feel heard and understood. She strives to provide empathetic and culturally competent care while empowering clients to recognize their strengths, feel valued, and take an active role in shaping their lives and well-being.
